African Boxing Legends with John Nene

Award-winning JOHN NENE is a renowned Sports Journalist in Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya. He’s the founder of Pamoja FM, a community radio station in Kibra. The widely travelled Multimedia Journalist is a former BBC Swahili Service Radio Sports Producer and a distinguished boxing and athletics commentator. He specializes in biographies of sports legends, and is the author of Kenya’s celebrated footballer, the late Joe Kadenge. He’s also the owner of Kenya’s first ever athletics Podcast – MWANARIADHA – detailing the history of the sport from 1950s. Currently he’s working on the eagerly awaited book – BOXING IN KENYA – from 1900.
