The resolutions of the extraordinary congress of the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC), Dubai, december 6, 2024

The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) convened for its Extraordinary Congress on 6 December 2024, under the leadership of Interim President Mr. Ferdinand Ilunga Luyoyo.

The Congress reached its quorum, with participation from twenty- six (26) national federations who attended in person and via video conference.

Resolutions Adopted.

Following debates and deliberations, the Congress adopted the following resolutions:

1. The delegates unanimously reaffirmed their support for the declaration issued by the national federations members of the AFBC Congress in Kinshasa on 24 October 2024.

2. The Congress unanimously approved the AFBC activity program, which includes convening an Ordinary Congress during the next African Men’s and Women’s Championships in Libya in march 2025. This Ordinary Congress will serve as an opportunity to address vacant positions within the AFBC BoD.

3. Ultimately, the delegates reiterated their commitment to the membership with the International Boxing Association (IBA), while requesting their leadership to respect the decisions of the majority expressed during this Congress.
