Entire Boxing Federation of Kenya executive re-elected Saturday march 1, 2025

Boxing Federation of Kenya has this morning conducted its national elections at Kasarani Stadion Hotel which were supervised by Sports registrar madam Rose Wasike & Ministry of sports officials including Mr. Abel Manyara & James Akama.

All the 12 officials that registered to contest for the executive committee positions were elected unopposed.

A total of 32 Counties participated in the election with each County being represented by 3 delegates in the elective Annual General Meeting.

Newly elected BFK officials to run the affairs of Boxing in the country for the next 4 years include :

1. President – Anthony Otieno Ombok
2. 1st vice President – Lydia Kinyua
3. 2nd Vice President – Chrispine Onyango
4. Secretary General – David Munuhe Karitu
5. Assistant secretary – Joseph Ochieng Otieno
6. Treasurer – Benjamin Moses Oyombi
7. Assistant Treasurer – Gladys Musavi
8. Competition Secretary – John Waweru Wangai
9. Assistant Competition Secretary – Joselyn Mare
10. Member – Ibrahim Wachira Bilali
11. Member – Dominic Opiyo

Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK) president Anthony “Jamal” Otieno started his second and last time on Saturday with a pledge to work to get boxing incorporated in secondary school and university games.

Otieno, who was elected unopposed with the entire BFK executive said boxing needed to be played in schools if Kenya was to have strong representation at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games and beyond.
